Based on Jussi Adler-Olsen’s novel of the same name, this Danish thriller is directed by Mikkel Nørgaard and serves as a worthy sequel to 2013’s “The Keeper of Lost Causes.”
Set in Copenhagen, “The Absent One” follows Detective Carl Mørck (played by Nikolaj Lie Kaas) and his assistant Assad (played by Fares Fares) as they investigate a case that involves the murders of two siblings – a brother and a sister – twenty years ago.
