In the heart of America, a burning tiger is released into a house filled with fear, desperation, and survival. “Burning Bright,” directed by Carlos Brooks, tells a story of a young girl named Kelly and her autistic brother Tom who are trapped in their house during a hurricane with a ravenous tiger. The film is set in Florida, where hurricanes are common and big cats are kept in captivity by some people.
From the beginning, the movie sets up the atmosphere of suspense and terror as we see Kelly returning home to find it boarded up for an impending storm and her alcoholic stepfather Johnny nowhere to be found. The stage is set for an intense thriller with only a brief respite from the chaos when Johnny arrives at the house to inform them that he lost all their money on a failed investment.
Soon after he leaves, Kelly discovers that there’s now an additional tenant in their home – who happens to be a Bengal tiger with insatiable hunger. With no way out of the house due to the storm’s wrath outside, they must deal with both Mother Nature and this ferocious animal for survival.

The acting from Briana Evigan (Kelly) is nothing short of brilliant; she conveys both vulnerability and strength seamlessly as her character fights tooth-and-nail for survival alongside her brother.
