As I sat in the dark theater, anxiously anticipating Reminiscence, a new film directed by Lisa Joy that had been generating plenty of buzz, I couldn’t help but be reminded of Gabriel Garcia Marquez’s writing style – both draw you in with their magical storytelling. And sure enough, as the film began, I was transported to a world that was both familiar and otherworldly.
